Pond Stones

Write a worry on a stone, drop it into a quiet pond, and watch the ripples fade until the water is still again.

What is Pond Stones?

Write a worry on a stone, drop it into a quiet pond, and watch the ripples fade until the water is still again. It is one of 23 small, calm places in Pocket Meadow, a relaxation app for iPhone and iPad.

What it looks and feels like

A clear blue pond sits in a green meadow, edged with smooth grey stones and a few lily pads. Your stone falls with a soft splash and sinks slowly to the bottom. Rings of ripples spread across the surface, crossing the reflections of the sky, then slowly fade. After a few breaths, the water is completely still again, as if nothing happened.

Why it can help you slow down

Ripples are a lovely picture of what a worry can feel like: a sudden splash, then circles spreading out, then calm. Pond Stones lets you watch that whole journey.

Waiting for the water to settle is a small exercise in patience. It is a reminder that stillness usually returns on its own if we give it a moment.

Try it without the app

Find a pond, lake or even a bowl of water. Drop a small pebble in and watch the ripples spread and settle. Try to breathe slowly until the surface is completely calm.

Questions

Do the stones stay in the pond?

They rest at the bottom while you are in the place. Nothing is saved when you leave.

Can I use a photo?

Yes. A photo stone sinks just like a written one.
